Facebook brings live streaming, video chat feature to its instant games on messenger

Facebook introduces two new features for its instant games on Messenger. The first feature will allow users to easily share their gaming experience with others. Facebook, starting today is rolling out this feature that will enable the Messenger users to be able to live stream and share their gaming experience with other in their friend list via Facebook Live option. The second feature will allow Messenger users to play games with each other while video chatting.
It is just a year ago that Facebook had introduced the instant games section on Messenger. On completion of a year, Facebook plans to bring the gaming experience on Messenger to a complete different level altogether. "We're introducing two new features to Instant Games that will help you engage and connect with those you care about in new and different ways," notes Facebook on its blog post.
Starting today, Facebook is rolling out the live streaming feature on Messenger for the gamers out there so that they can share their playthroughs with others via a live video. "The new live streaming capability via Facebook Live makes it simple for people to play and share their experiences with those who love games on Messenger," notes Facebook.
To use this feature: First, you should have the updated version on the Facebook Messenger on your mobile phone. While playing a game, you will need to tap the camera icon located in the upper right corner of the game you're playing. Once the icon is selected, you can manually select the audience you want to broadcast your gaming experience to. Much like the Facebook Live video feature - alongside the video - you can also add a short description to it. To start recording, just click on the "Start Live Video" button at the bottom of the screen. After ending the live stream, the video will be posted on your profile -- and your friends will be able to watch it. You can remove the video post at any time, just like any other post.
The second feature that Facebook brings to its instant games section on Messenger is the video calling option. Facebook, starting today begins testing the video chat feature for its gaming addicts on Messenger. "We're excited to begin a test soon that will enable people to play games with each other while video chatting," notes Facebook. The social media giant has started testing the feature, and will introduce only early next year. Facebook notes that Words With Friends from Zynga will be the first game that will allow the Messenger users have a video chat with one another while the game is on. The video chat feature will "allow friends to watch each other's reactions as they run up the score."
Early next year, Facebook is planning to introduce a range of more games for its Messenger. Early 2018, Facebook will introduce Angry Birds game for its Messenger users. Additionally the social media platform will also launch other games like -- Sonic Jump from SEGA, Disney Tsum Tsum and new casual puzzle games as well.
